Island Eyes — Help & FAQ
Island Eyes displays animated eyes on your iPhone's Dynamic Island and Lock Screen. Simply tap START to begin, and the eyes will appear on your Dynamic Island and Lock Screen, cycling through various random expressions and animations. Open the app to see the eyes follow your device's tilt in real-time.
Q: The eyes don't appear on my Dynamic Island
Make sure Live Activities are enabled in Settings → Island Eyes → Live Activities. Your device must have a Dynamic Island (iPhone 14 Pro or later).
Q: The eyes don't follow my device tilt
Motion tracking works in the main app window only. On the Dynamic Island, the eyes display random expressions and animations instead. To use tilt tracking in the app, make sure Motion & Fitness is enabled in Settings → Island Eyes. Note: motion tracking works on physical devices only.
Q: How do I restore my purchases?
Open the App and tap the "Restore Purchases" button at the bottom of the eye style picker. Your previously purchased eye styles will be unlocked automatically.
Q: Can I get a refund for an in-app purchase?
In-app purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Q: Does the App drain my battery?
Island Eyes is designed to be lightweight. The Dynamic Island animation uses minimal resources. However, continuous use of motion sensors may have a small impact on battery life.
Q: Which devices are supported?
Island Eyes requires iOS 17.0 or later. The Dynamic Island feature requires iPhone 14 Pro or later.
Q: The eyes fell asleep! How do I wake them up?
The eyes get tired over time — they'll start looking sleepy and eventually doze off. Tap the eye drop button (💧) in the app to wake them up instantly. Think of it as a little digital pet!
Q: Does the app need an internet connection?
When the app is in the background, a cloud server sends animation updates via push notifications to keep the Dynamic Island eyes expressive. An internet connection is required for this feature. When you're using the app in the foreground, the eyes track your device's tilt locally without needing a connection.
