Overview

Island Eyes ("the App") is developed by Hoshikage Akari. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data Collection

Island Eyes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The App does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

Device Sensors

The App uses your device's motion sensors (accelerometer/gyroscope) to animate the eyes based on device tilt. This data is:

• Processed locally on your device only
• Never stored, logged, or transmitted
• Used solely for real-time eye animation

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases for cosmetic eye styles. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.

Local Storage

The App stores your selected eye style preference on your device using UserDefaults. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Contains no personal information
• Can be removed by deleting the App

Server Communication

When the App is running in the background, it communicates with a cloud server to deliver animation updates to the Dynamic Island via Apple Push Notifications (APNs). This communication involves:

• A push token generated by Apple for the Live Activity — this is a random identifier and contains no personal information
• Animation data (eye position, blink timing, expressions) sent from the server to your device

The server:

• Does not collect, store, or process any personal data
• Does not log IP addresses or device identifiers
• Only retains the push token for the duration of the active session
• Automatically removes the token when the Live Activity ends

Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for delivering animation updates. No other third-party services, analytics, or advertising frameworks are used.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any data from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
